What is the “1/24 Social Movement”? 

This is a volunteer organization, dedicate to serve society. The idea is that at least sometimes we will serve society out of 24 hours a day.

Actually, 1/24 is a symbolic sign which indicates that out of 24 hours at least some moment we should spend on society. It is not necessary that a member dedicate or spend 1 hour.

Any amount of time more than 1 hour or less than 1 hour he or she can spend on society.

The idea is that as a member of a society we must spend some time for society to make a better living place and to build a beautiful Bangladesh.

1/24 social movement was established on 13th July of 2018. Since the time of establishment, this organization has given free medical treatment to more than 350 people at the very first project. 1/24 had extended its support to Robiul Hossain, a brilliant student at the University of Chittagong, who lost his legs in a shuttle tragedy.

1/24 has also supported Hossain Shakil (Chittagong polytechnical college) with his operation, and many other individuals from time to time in their needs. The organization distributed yearly educational materials among poverty-driven students and distributed sewing machines to 4 helpless families.

1/24 took the entire financial responsibilities of 3 students until the completion of their study. Apart from all these, this organization has also celebrated the world animal day for the first time in Chittagong.

In 2019, 1/24 social movement has aimed to organize a massive tree plantation campaign- planting 100,000 trees and is promptly working on the implementation of this enormous project for the betterment of the society through the betterment of the environment.

On July 13, 2018, at CRB, Chattogram 1/24 Social Movement met its very first meeting.

1/24 Social Movement had been announced by its Founder Mohammad Shahab Uddin, Associate Professor of Department of Management at University of Chittagong. 

Who are the members of this organization? 

Anybody can be a member of this organization, but they should be open-minded and must have the interest to work as a social activist. Our organization is open to all regardless of color, race, ethnicity, religion, national background, political background, and so on.
