‘1/24 Social Movement’ has distributed study materials among children in Binanihara, Potiya, Chittagong.
The founder of ‘1/24 Social Movement’ – Mr. Mohammad Shahab Uddin, Assistant Professor, Management Department, University of Chittagong, Dr. Mohammad Abu Taiyub, ex-civil surgeon, Chittagong Medical College, and M. A. Rahim, Sports editor and the local Jubo league were present during the distribution ceremony.
Under the chairmanship of Mr. Monjur Morshed from Binanihara-Monsha Adorsho Ekota Shongho, all the present honorable speakers said, “There’s no alternative to education in building a drug and terror-free nation. And until education reaches all walks of life, Bangladesh will never achieve its expected goal.”
As the chief guest, Mr. Shahab Uddin said, “Although, Government supplies free textbooks until secondary school level, the number of education deprived children is no less in the low-income families, due to the lack of other associated study accessories. Affluent people and the social organizations should come forward to speed up this effective step taken by the government.” He appealed to all the people present there to stand by these underprivileged kids. He also informed that ‘1/24 Social Movement’ is functioning rapidly with an aim to provide study materials for about 5000 children.
In the program, about 60 children received study materials on that day.
Moreover, Binanihara-Monsha Adorsho Ekota Shongho rewarded the students who aced the scholarship examination.
