The news “Shukhi lives on alms, but wants to be a doctor” on the Noya Digonto online news portal by the reporter Mr. M. A. Karim from Brahmanbaria strikes the volunteers of the ‘1/24 Social Movement’ hard. The ‘1/24 Social Movement’ team along with its founder, Mr. Mohammad Shahab Uddin, Assistant Professor, Management department, University of Chittagong immediately left for Brahmanbaria to stand beside the destitutes.
Honorable Mr. Founder our very beloved Shahab Sir promised to take up Shukhi’s complete educational responsibility starting from admitting her to a school to buying all the necessary accessories required. He also gave his word to buy Shukhi’s mother a sewing machine.
In continuation to the above phenomenon, the team leader of the health wing of ‘1/24 Social Movement’ – Mr. Hashem Moula, 3rd year Hons student of the University of Chittagong has gifted 3 new school bags to Shukhi and her siblings.
