Free Medical Camp Sandwip 2020

In the memory of the language movement martyrs in 1952, ‘1/24 Social Movement’ has provided free medical facilities in Sandwip.

5 doctors and 2 veterinarians provide free medical facilities and medicines to 511 patients and 50 animals on the 21st February starting from 11:30 in the morning at the Shikder Para Mosque premises in Haramia Union, Sandwip. The camp was inaugurated by the founder of ‘1/24 Social Movement’ – Mr. Mohammad Shahab Uddin, Assistant Professor, Management Department, University of Chittagong.

Remembering the language movement martyrs in 1952, Prof. Shahab Sir says, ” That we are talking in our mother tongue Bangla, has been possible because of the language martyrs. Their sacrifice taught us the extent of love towards the homeland, motherland. It, now, becomes our utmost duty to build up a prosperous nation and that’s possible when the inhabitants of the land are in sound health.” In regard to medical facilities in distant areas, he said, “‘1/24 Social Movement’ will provide free medical facilities in distant areas of Chittagong and gradually throughout the whole country.”

The special guest, Lion Jamal Uddin, business and vice-chairman of ‘1/24 Social Movement’ said, “‘1/24 Social Movement’ has always come up with innovative social welfare programs to observe the martyr day and International mother language day. Such an amazing step in this free medical camp.” He expressed his gratitude to everyone working behind this great initiative and thanked them from his heart.
