Food Aid Supply During Coronavirus Outbreak

‘1/24 Social Movement’ has provided Food Aid Supply During Coronavirus Outbreak to 130 people with marginal income in the city of Chittagong.

This was when the Government imposed lockdown throughout the country, ‘1/24 Social Movement’ became aware of the miserable situation of the people living hand to mouth due to this sudden shutdown.

Together with the founder of ‘1/24 Social Movement’ – Mr. Mohammad Shahab Uddin, Assistant Professor, Management Department, University of Chittagong, General secretary Rubel Das and Office secretary Mainul Hasan Sakib, took the initiative of providing food to the destitute.

Hiring a pickup van, 550 kg rice, 25 kg pulses, 75 kg onions, 150 kg potatoes were distributed among 130 needy people. This program expensed about BDT 37,000/- in total.

Earlier on the 24th of March, 2020 mask, hand sanitizer, and soap were distributed among 300 people in Halishohor, Agrabad, Dewanhut, 2 no gate, Amin colony, Barma colony of the Chittagong metro area.
